In applications where its hard to see the analog neon scale, a backlight digital LCD screen can make a huge difference. One auto-ranging model covers both AC and DC testing of voltage up to 50kV.
Check voltage in fuses, test for correct phase connections, or for absences of high voltage on de-energized lines or equipment. Just add the hot sticks (Hoyt HS-120/HS-175 Series) for a complete IP66 rated solution.
